Clubs will be offered at Heritage for students throughout the year. Badger Singers began on September 7th, while all other clubs will begin on Monday, September 11th. The following are the clubs offered, day of the week, and time.

Art club is full. If your child turned their permission form in, you will or should have received an email from Miss Tryon.

It is great to see parents joining students for lunch. While parents are welcome for lunch, we do ask that you limit visits to no more than once a week. The reason for this is lunch is a social time for students. It is their opportunity to get to know peers and build connections with friends.

Please remember to call or email and let the office know by 9:00 if you are planning to eat with your child. If you do not call or email, the kitchen may not have enough food to feed parents. The cost for a hot lunch is $4.60. Exact change only, please. If you do not have exact change, the remaining money can be added to your child's lunch balance. If bringing food in, please only bring food for your child and please no fast food.

Lunch times are as follows:

K: 11:00-11:30

1st: 11:30-12:00

2nd: 11:45-12:15

3rd: 12:05-12:35

4th: 12:30-1:00

5th: 12:35-1:05

One way that we recognize students here at Heritage is by a Student of the Month award. This is an award that students can earn for showing the expectations of being respectful, responsible, safe, and kind. Each classroom teacher and specialist will choose one student each month to recognize at this special assembly. If your child is being honored during this assembly you will receive communication from the classroom teacher prior to our assembly. Student of the Month assemblies are always held on the Early Out dates each month.

We have another Heritage Hero Award for this week. Students earn Heritage Hero Awards for being Respectful, Responsible, Safe, and Kind. We want to say congratulations to Vlad in Mrs. Ellison's class for earning a Heritage Hero Award for being concerned and kind to fellow students on the bus.

Way to go! We are so proud of you!

Students will have opportunities to be recognized for all the great things they are doing. We will utilize Badger Bucks for catching students going above and beyond to be respectful, responsible, safe, and kind. Below you will see the levels for recognizing our amazing students.

At the beginning of the year, traffic at school may be a little slower while we get students used to the routines. Please be patient as we begin recognizing families and cars. Please remember that there is no parking in the parking lot unless in a stall. There is one lane in each loop on the far right for traffic to flow through for drop off and pick up. The inside lane is for passing once your child has been dropped off or picked up. Please be respectful of fellow car riders and follow the suggested procedures.

• Pull all the way up the drive and use the entire lane for drop-off and pick-up
• K-1st grade loop extends the entire sidewalk around the loop
• 2nd-5th grade loop extends from the flagpole to past the cafeteria entrance
• Be ready to unload and load the vehicle
• Load and unload the vehicle at the curbside
• Use the entire drop-off and pick-up lane as described above
• Once your student(s) have exited or entered the car, you may pull out of the car line
• If your student(s) are delayed, pull as far forward as you can to allow the line to continue to cycle through

Dear Heritage Families,

This next week we will be beginning Badger Time at Heritage. Badger Time is a time where we focus on community and building relationships in the building with other students and staff that we may not normally see throughout the day. Each student is assigned to a staff member's group. All groups have students in all grade levels. This week's lesson will be geared towards getting to know their Badger Time groups and some of their interests. Later in the year we will do lessons on our Heritage rules of being Respectful, Responsible, Safe, and Kind.

We are all excited to begin our Student of the Month assemblies next week as well. This is a time where we truly get to celebrate our students. Students are recognized for their effort and ability to be Respectful, Responsible, Safe, and Kind. All other students get to celebrate their classmates and hear about all the great ways that they can earn this honor.

Map and NSCAS testing is complete. Teachers will now look at student data and determine what each child is ready to learn in order to best plan for their growth throughout this year.

• Be On the Look Out (BOLO) for information for our FUNRun Fundraiser coming home to families in the coming weeks. Pledgestar registration begins 9/15! This year we have a goal of $25k - which will help install a Gaga Ball Pit, purchase books for One-Book/One-School and replenish our Operating Budget
  
  
• September Adopt the Lounge is sponsored by 4th Grade (**Signup is open to anyone who wants to contribute, but contains some items that are 4th Grade Teachers favorites)

Snack milk is now closed for 1st semester. It will reopen on December 7th for 2nd semester and close January 12th, 2024.
