Our Town Day Celebration
November 21, 2023
This is Our Town is back for a third year! We are proudly celebrating all the ingredients that make up NMS. “This Is Our Town” is a celebration of all the foods representing the cultures and traditions from around the world, but more importantly, it is a celebration of all the people that make up Newtown Middle School.
The day will allow students to listen to former CR students tell their “stories,” be involved in special activities, and visit our Taste of Newtown Food Court. While at the food court, students will have the opportunity to sample a variety of foods connected to our community as part of the food court experience.
CLICK HERE for more information on how you can sign up and share a "taste" of your families tradition and heritage.

NMS UPDATES
🍟☕ Food and Drinks - Prior to students entering the school or getting on the bus, we ask that all food and drinks have been consumed and properly discarded. Please refrain from allowing your student to get dropped off with a coffee or sugary drink in the morning. Prior to entering they will be asked to throw it out. Thank you for your help with this.
👘 Dress for Success – We ask that you assist with helping your student dress appropriately for school. No matter their career path or current part time employment if they are working, there are dress requirements. School is no different. Slippers, slides, and sandals without something that goes around the back of their heel are unsafe in crowded hallways and should not be worn. Please also help to ensure that shirts are at a length such that the shirt touches the top of their pants.
As always, thank you for your help with this.
On a positive note, students have been doing a tremendous job with keeping their cell phones away and out of site. It has made such a difference to our environment. I would also like to commend them on their school spirt. Everyday we see a lot of Council Rock gear as well as support for our Philly teams; it is great to see.
Go Phillies!
