Carver's Weekly Update
Monday, October 24, 2022
We are excited to announce that our students will be participating in extracurricular activities during the school day. Each grade level will meet once every other month with a particular club. Students in grades 1-5 were able to select their first or second choice club. Clubs will begin this week for kindergarten, first, and second grade students.
Also beginning this week, student ambassadors or representatives from grades 3-5 will meet with me and/or other staff from our Leadership Team to share their thoughts or provide feedback on school programs or activities. These students will also serve as greeters when we have visitors from other schools or educational organizations.
We are putting into practice some of the suggestions from teachers, parents, and students that were mentioned in the Blue Ribbon survey results. It is our goal to continue to work with all stakeholders to ensure that our students are successful and receive as much support as possible. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Josie Little,
Principal

Mrs. Newton's fifth grade students worked in groups to engineer a "Hooverville" house. They are studying "The Great Depression" in Social Studies. To give the people some "hope" during this sad time, the students worked together to add lights by creating working circuits to their house. This gave the students an opportunity to integrate Social Studies and Science.
