- We are looking for community members to join all committees. Please reach out to the lead SRV Board member to get information of meeting dates, times.
- All meetings are virtual, occur monthly or as needed. Time commitment is less than one hour a month.
We want to thank Ed O'Melia, a volunteering SRV Board Member for 25 years. He has held multiple supporting roles during his time on the board. He has been the Operational Chair for several years working closely with Brad, Kenny and Sammy. Ed worked with Kenny to make the signs for each of the paths throughout the village which lead to the slopes. He created the village maps, identifying the paths, bridges and most recently the fire hydrant locations. His historical knowledge and connections throughout the Lake Harmony community was valued and will be missed. Ed decided to step down this year, but he has let us know he is available to help as needed. We wish him all the best and thank him for his many years of service to our community.
Here are some highlights from our monthly meetings, as shared by committee chairs:
President's Report-
SRV President, Leslie Slifer welcomed two new board members, Michael and Patricia to our team. She thanked Ed O'Melia for his many years of service to the village. Board responsibilities and the board member's code of conduct were reviewed. Board leadership roles were nominated and voted on as seen above.
Finance Committee- earlier last year, we were able to move some of our reserve money to a high yield saving account which continues to provide 5% in additional savings. In conversations with Brad, SRV financials are in good standings. The board will begin the process to focus on creating the SRV budget which will be presented to the community in May and voted on at the June Homeowner's meeting.
ARC Committee- Is in the process of being reorganized. The committee will work on updating the ARC application forms. We will be communicating it out to the community soon, so that if you have projects coming up, you will have time to get it ready before Spring.
If your house/deck is on the list to be painted this summer, please reach out to a contractor now to get an estimate for work needing to be repaired. Most of the contractors schedules get booked very fast.
As a reminder no outside work can be done between December 1st- March 31st. If you experience an emergency, please contact the ARC for approval.
Operations Committee- several projects were completed before winter: Our security camera at the guard shack was updated, allowing us better pictures of all cars entering the village, including car tag numbers. Several areas around the pond were corrected due to drainage issues. The board will continue to work on problem areas in our next budget. One of our fire hydrants went bad, which we were able to replace.
Website Committee- the website continues to be updated and is available 24/7 to provide every homeowner with resources and information specific to the village. You must register to sign on. There is a member's only section that only homeowners can have access to. Contact Shawn Pickul with any concerns or questions at snowridgev@gmail.com.
Social Committee- We held our second annual SRV House Tour where 18 community members toured five homes throughout the village. We were able to see some very creative uses and modifications of space in each home we visited. Our annual Après party will be held on Saturday, February 17th at the Frosty Toboggan. If you have any suggestions for future social events, please reach out and share your ideas to Carole Butler at snowridgescc@gmail.com
Preferred Management Report- Brad shared updates of projects and concerns as reported in the community. Elite security is still on site asking for identification for guests as they enter our community. Homeowners can get stickers at the gate or through Brad's office. The guards are on duty Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays and holidays. If you have an issue on the weekend, please call the guard office to report it (570) 443-9970 or Elite dispatch (570) 413-3524. Any issues when the guard is not on, please call 911.
Reach out to Brad's office with any other concerns.
Other discussion points:
Breezeline- the village is close to being 100% installed. As a reminder you have until July to change over to the new wireless system. If you have any issues, please reach out directly to Breezeline at 1-888-536-9600.
Unwanted visitors- we have had a few community members report unknown people taking a peak into their homes. As a reminder, security cameras can be installed at your home and it is something we highly recommend. We have not had any break-ins but it is important to call the police and let Brad's office know if there is anything suspicious occurring at your house.
If you RENT your home in SRV, please make sure the SRV Rules are displayed so they know where the trash is to be stored; parking spaces may not be directly in front of the unit; only two parking spaces allowed with over flow parking in Lot 12 (Just past the guard shack); and no fireworks or open flame fires may be started in the village.
- Rental units, please make sure you have registered with Kidder Township and with Property Management. There are fees to register with both groups. Property Management will send you a copy of the community rules that must be displayed for view with your renters. Please inform your renters where to put their trash, as we have seen bags just left outside of the units for several days. Additionally, place a sign indicating that trash will be picked up on Mondays and Thursdays.
- Please be mindful of the renters, as we found clothing in one of our septic stations. Obviously, this causes a block in the grinders and costs the entire community money to fix it.
We want our visitors to have a great time, while at the same time respecting our beautiful community.
A reminder to the community, there is a Facebook page "Snow Ridge Village", which is maintained by community members. Please join, but use it for questions, suggestions or celebrations. The board is not associated with this page.
We highly encourage all members of the community to sign up for the newsletters, the website and other forms of communication. Recently, we have met several people who are unaware of happenings because they do not receive emails as it went to their spouse/partner or junk mail and we want to make sure all household members have access to information.
