Mandatory ACT Retakes for All Seniors
- Who: ALL MVS Seniors
- When: 8:15 until 12:15
- Where: Maryville High School
- How: Arrive at the MHS front office by 8:15 with a charged laptop, an ID, pencils, and an approved calculator. (See ACT approved calculator info here.)
Note- Seniors all received an personal email with an attachment and directions to register for the ACT. Please be sure to complete that before October 18th.

Senior Success Night @ MHS
Monday, October 17 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Maryville High School------- MCS school counselors will host this year's Senior Success Night on Monday, October 17 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Maryville High School. All seniors and their parents are highly encouraged to attend this event. Experts from college financial aid offices will be on hand to offer FAFSA help (please bring your laptop and know your FAFSA login information!). In addition, representatives from local community colleges will be available to answer questions about admissions. Individuals from area businesses and recruiting firms will attend and will discuss future employment opportunities for our students upon high school graduation. This is a night not to be missed!
Counselor's Corner
The Tennessee Governor's Schools provide eleven challenging and high-intensity programs for rising 11th and 12th grade students. Each school offers a unique learning environment for students interested in the arts, humanities, agriculture science, STEM programs, advanced mathematics, physics, leadership, international studies, Tennessee history, or potential teaching careers. Students interested in participating in a Governor's School email Jennifer Abernathy for more details. Applications, submission information, and critical deadlines will be posted on the webpages of each individual Governor’s Schools site.
The following colleges will have representatives at Maryville High School on these days from 9:55 AM to 10:10 AM. If you are a MVS junior or senior and want to visit with the representative, please check in at MHS front desk by 9:45 AM and then make your way to their guidance office.
