Tahoe students participating in the fall Runnin' for Rhett season will be participating in a 5K fun run this Saturday at Land Park! Anyone want to come out and cheer them on? We will meet at the starting line starting at 7:45am (corral color is purple) and will then move over to cheer before the run begins at 9:00am. Look for Mrs. Bennett if you'd like to join the cheering section. ("Tahoe Tigers" signs are welcome!)

Please join us on the first Wednesday of each month from 5:30-6:30 pm for the Tahoe Parent Teacher Association meeting! You can join in person at the school or via Zoom, using the information below.

It is in this meeting that we will plan upcoming events and activities, discuss student and classroom needs we can help fill, get YOUR input and voice heard, and build community in support of all Tahoe Elementary students!

Invite another Tahoe grownup to join us, too!

We will have a Scholastic Book Fair set up in our library during the week of December 11-15! Classes will visit the sale during the day, but it will also be open for families to visit from 8:30am-9:00am and 3:00pm-4:00pm on Monday the 11th and Friday the 15th. Be sure to check with your student's teacher to see when their class will visit the sale.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who helped us make this year's Jog-A-Thon a HUGE success! We were able to raise $25,000 (including our student pledges and sponsorships)! That will go a long way in funding our music classes and other special programs! Again, thank you so much for all of your support. What an awesome community we have!

All Tahoe parents and guardians are invited to attend the School Site Council Meeting! The council, who makes decisions about funding and our school plan, is made up of elected officials. But ANYONE in the community is welcome to attend! We will be meeting in room 6.

Please be sure to pull over to the side of the road when letting students out at drop off and picking them up in the afternoon. Everyone is responsible for following traffic laws (including red curb parking), and this helps us keep all of our students (and their families) safe!

Thank you for everyone who helped to sell See's Candy this year! Any orders turned in by students will be delivered to the school before Winter Break!

It's the time of year when some families reach out about our staff's favorites. There is absolutely no expectation of gifts (EVER!), but for those who have begun to ask, here is a link that shows some of our staff members' favorite items.

Interested in becoming a volunteer at Tahoe Elementary School? Want to help supervise field trips? Want to help in the classroom or elsewhere around campus? Become a volunteer today!

The volunteer process (for those needing to complete the fingerprinting/background check can be lengthy. So beat the rush from other schools and get started today!

As noted below in the Volunteer Information Packet, only those new to volunteering (or who have had a break in volunteering in the past school year) need to be fingerprinted. Returning volunteers simply need to complete the SCUSD Volunteer Registration Form (first page of the attached Tahoe Volunteer Application) and complete (and show proof of completion) of the Mandated Reporter Training.

If you are a new volunteer and need help with the one-time $47 fee, please contact Azizi in the front office.

Our school office hours are 8:30am-4:00pm, Monday - Friday (expect on school holidays). The front (wooden) doors of the school open at 8:45am on school days, so if you are outside and need assistance, please call the front office at 916-395-4750.
