Student Asynchronous School Day- 2/18/2022

If a student completes an activity, s/he will click on the reflection link for that cell and complete the brief reflection no later than Tuesday, February 22nd by 7AM.
For every Explore Board activity / reflection completed, students will be entered into a grade-level raffle for the chance to win some exciting prizes. The more activities students complete, the more entries they will have in the raffle.
If parents / students would like to share a picture / post of the work being done on the Explore Board activities on social media, use the #SCSExplores hashtag.

State of the Schools 2/23

The annual “State of the Schools” presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, February 23rd at 6:30 PM. This year’s event will be held at Strongsville Middle School and will also be livestreamed on our SCS TV website. We look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of our District and all that makes Strongsville City Schools special. Do you have something you wish to be covered during our “State of the Schools” event? Click HERE to submit a topic/question - the most frequent comments and feedback will be addressed on February 23rd. This form will be open and accepting responses until Friday, February 11th at 5:00 PM.

Leukemia Lymphoma Student of the Year Campaign 22'.

Dear Strongsville Families, I am beyond excited to announce that Strongsville is participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS), “Students of the Year” campaign for 2022.

I was nominated to lead this challenge by my high school Athletic Director and the Principal of my high school. I feel honored and so grateful to be a part of this amazing fundraising experience with LLS! I have put together a team of support to help raise money and awareness for this great cause – to bring an end to cancer!

Our Team name is “Stand Up In Strongsville”. Student of the Year program is a 7 week challenge between other high school students in surrounding cities in Northern Ohio to raise the most amount of money for a great cause – Finding a cure for cancer!

Our competition ends on March 19th, 2022. During this 7 week challenge, my team and I are determined to reach our goal of $60,000 and raise even more! (All donations are tax deductible! Tax ID #13-5644915) Please help us reach our team goal of $60,000 and fight with us against cancer!

Safe Sitter @ Safety Town 4/19

Designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting. The Instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use manikins to practice rescue skills like choking rescue and CPR!

Reminders:

No parking prior to 7:40 along the curb lane- please park in a parking spot in the main lot
Pull as far up as possible along the curb until the stop sign when actively dropping off your student
Park in the parking lot prior to 7:40 rather than parking and waiting along the curb
Encourage your student to use the crosswalk and both Door S and the Main doors
