GUESS WHO'S GOING TO STATE!?!?!!??

Our school wide Battle of the Books competitions have concluded. Every group that participated worked for months to read all the books and practice for the competition. Our librarians have been so impressed! Congratulations to everyone that participated!

RIVER HEIGHTS IS USING THEIR NEW 3D PENS

Each elementary school got 3D pens for students to use. Mrs. Olson and I went into Mr. Weber's 3rd grade classroom to teach the students how to use them. Below are some of the creations we captured!

PUBLIC LIBRARY BOOK SALE

The Friends of the Menomonie Public Library spring book sale is back with lots of great materials at great prices!


The book sale will take place in the library meeting room from March 14-April 9th during regular library hours.

GOLDEN ARCHER AWARDS

K,1,2 made Pigeon bookmarks after reading The Pigeon Has to Go to School. The picture above if from Mrs. Linsley's class!
The Golden Archer Award is given to a children's book that was written in the last 5 years. Only students in Wisconsin get to vote. The five books nominated for this year were:


-The Paper Kingdom by Helena Ku Rhee

-The Bad Seed by Jory John

-Llama Destroys the World by Jonathan Stutzman

-The Panda Problem by Deborah Underwood

-The Pigeon Has to Go to School by Mo Willems


While the actual winner won't be announced until sometime this month, the majority of students in our school district voted for Llama Destroys the World to win.

JUST BEYOND

This series is by R.L. Stine, author of Goosebumps. Scary titles are always popular in our libraries. One option to get your child interested (or to stay interested) in reading may be to introduce them to this series! Then, after you read one of the books, you can watch the series on Disney +.
