Some Very Sad News
“It is with great sadness that I must inform you of the death of one of our pupils this week. Bouna D’Abo was a member of Sunflower Class and while we do not have the full details, we understand that he passed away peacefully.
We are in contact with Bouna’s family and expressed our sadness and condolences. Bouna’s classmates are being supported within their class by Jonathan and his teaching and therapy teams. All of the families in that class have been informed.
In addition, we will be working with an educational psychologist from the local authority to support all affected.
During Bouna's relatively short time with us in Sunflower class, he made a big impression and left a long-lasting legacy of perseverance and effort. He had begun to show an interest and ability in switching and finished a number of creative projects, as well as bringing a welcome new dynamic to the group with who he was.
This is an incredibly sad event and our thoughts are very much with Bouna’s family and classmates. “

Weekly Update
Dear Parents/carers,
I hope you are well and have had a good week.
The final few dates for parent coproduction sessions have been set for the following times:
· Monday 13th June – 9:30-11:00 am – Sherwood Hill Campus
· Friday 17th June – 1:30-3:00pm – Sherwood Park Campus
These sessions are not campus specific – parents from either campus can attend the session that is best for them. The aim of this session is to discuss areas that we do well as a school from your perspective and to advise us on things you would like us to change or do better. This information will be collated with that gained in the sessions earlier this year to ensure that parent voice is well reflected in our school business plan. Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided. Please do come for an informal discussion. Please email arichardson37@suttonmail.org or message Anna if you are able to attend.
Just a reminder we have our trip to the circus this Wednesday - we are all very excited! Also a reminder that this Friday is an INSET day for staff training.
Have a lovely weekend,
Simon
