Safety Drills
On Wednesday, all of our students had the opportunity to participate in our three safety drills: evacuation, lock down, and severe weather. Our students and staff did an amazing job executing our procedures in a safe and efficient manner. Next Tuesday, the St. Charles Police and Fire Departments will be on hand to observe our lock down and evacuation drills. The departments will provide useful feedback that will ensure our students and staff are adhering to the established protocol. As always, student safety is a number one priority at Munhall.
Author’s Visit
Next Wednesday, September 11th, our 4th and 5th grade students will get the opportunity to hear from author and wildlife enthusiast Coyote Peterson. Mr. Peterson has written several books, including his latest Coyote Peterson’s Wildlife Adventure: An Interactive Guide with Facts, Photos, and More! I am confident our students will enjoy hearing from this energetic and enthusiastic author and personality.
PTO Meeting
Tuesday, September 10th marks the first PTO meeting of the school year. Munhall is blessed to have such an amazing PTO. I highly encourage parents to attend, as it is a great way to learn about the happenings of Munhall, the PTO, while also providing avenues for parents to get involved. The meeting begins at 7:00 in the LRC.
Lunch/Recess Supervisors
Organic Life, our food service vendor, is still looking to fill lunch/recess supervision positions at Munhall. If you are interested, please contact Patricia Burton at 331-228-5242 or patricia.burton@d303.org.
Have a great weekend!
