Good afternoon BarbierI Families,

Happy New Year to all of our families who are celebrating Rosh Hashanah!

We are excited to welcome families of grades K-2 (ONLY) on Thursday, 9/29, for our Open House: Curriculum Night! This event is for our parents/guardians to hear more about what their child/ren will learn this school year. This is open to all parents/guardians. We understand how challenging it can be to find childcare so if our students and siblings must attend then please bring them along. We would rather all of our families join us, siblings and students, than parents/guardians not attend for this reason. Unfortunately, we are not able to offer childcare at this time so students/siblings will need to be supervised by their families if they attend. Thank you so much for understanding!

Picture Day will be on Friday, October 14th. All teachers will bring down their classrooms to the auditorium for students to be photographed individually and whole classroom pictures will hopefully be taken outdoors by our Barbieri School sign by door 1. We are looking forward to fun day!

HONK!

Auditions for HONK! will take place this week Wednesday 9/28 starting at 3:20PM (dismissal) until 6:00PM. Please reach out to Mrs. Leah Moens, Play Director, with any questions!

Here is the message sent to all Barbieri Families regarding morning drop-off to ensure traffic is running smoothly for staff and families.

Please reach out to the main office staff, Joelie Rivera, Assistant Office Manager, or Diane Cartier, Office Manager, to ensure that we have the correct dismissal information for your child(ren). We dismiss students to after school explorers, buses, parent pick up and SMOC/Suburban buses daily. Staff ensure that the dismissal information you have provided us is the one we adhere to.

For the 22-23 school year I will continue to work collaboratively with my first class at Barbieri School, the current fifth grade class. I can't believe they are fifth graders already! WOW!

Ms. Lev will move into grade 1 and grade 3 with her former students and welcome the this year's new Kindergarten class.

Ms. Foley will work closely with grade 2 and grade 4.

While we work closely together having designated grade levels allows us to work even more closely with specific grade level teams of teachers, students and their families. Most importantly, this model allows us to move on with our students each year and strengthens our relationships year after year!
