Many were caught off guard by our Halloween Snow Storm, and we wanted to reshare closure and transportation information.

If your local school district is closed due to inclement weather, Dean Transportation will not transport students in your district. The OAC will operate even when several districts in our boundaries are closed. Notification of OAC closures will be communicated by Infinite Campus messenger, phone and text messaging.

OAC does not notify parents if individual local school districts close, it is a best practice to subscribe to your local school districts notification system or Wood TV8 has a notification system you can subscribe and be notified of your local school districts closure.

Please update your email and phone numbers in the office, to ensure the delivery of these important alerts.

Included in your Fall School Paperwork was a photo/video opt out form. To opt out your student's photos/videos from all social media. school or district publications, parents/guardians must withdraw permission and must notify the school in writing.

This can be done by filling out the 23-24 Photo Opt Form. A form needs to be completed every school year.

The office will notify each teacher of the students who have opted out of photos and their photos may not be used in any external format.

-CMH will have open office hours at OAC. This is an opportunity for parents to come in on an as needed basis to make connections and answer any questions you may have about the services they offer.

-Reminder this is CMH of Ottawa County and they only service residents of Ottawa County. If your student resides in a different county and needs information about CMH, they can connect your family with the CMH in that county.

- This is a great opportunity to discuss transition planning. Remember - much like we base transition services around student postsecondary goals and unmet needs, CMHOC also bases the services they provide on eligibility, the goals an individual has for their life and the unmet needs after exploring all options available.

CMH will be here the 3rd Wednesday of the month going forward.
