KISU COVID NEWSLETTER
1st June 2021
Head of Primary's Message
Dear Parents/Guardians
Welcome to day 1 online and the last 12 days of Term 3. We almost made it to the end of the school year without the reintroduction of online learning, however, due to circumstances beyond our control and after making every effort to safeguard our KISU community, Google Classroom and Tapestry are fully operational from today and is the means by which all students will be taught and assigned tasks. Just like ‘in-school learning’, attendance is compulsory, as is completion of all set tasks. Work turned in will be graded by the teachers and collated in an online portfolio. If for any reason, pupils are unable to attend online classes or have difficulties accessing virtual classrooms or turning in assignments, please contact teachers directly or the Primary Office (0752711908 / primaryoffice@kisu.com) or the Head of Primary (0752711881 / primaryhead@kisu.com). Internet unreliability is a recurring issue here in Kampala, but please make every effort to communicate with school, should any student’s learning be disrupted, so that we are well informed to support all of our pupils at this time. Please be assured that all Primary Term 3 Assessments are now completed and Term 3 reports and data will be shared with parents during the week beginning 14th June.
