Weekly Update 11/16/2022
From the Athletic Director
Thankfulness: An Attitude of Gratitude
As we are approaching Thanksgiving week I have been thinking about the word Thankfulness and what I am thankful for. Thankfulness is a choice and we get to determine by how we choose to see things if we are thankful or not. A very good friend used to say “Your attitude determines your altitude”. I agree with this comment. For instance if we have a problem and we choose to see it as an opportunity instead of an obstacle we can better handle and move forward in whatever that situation is. The other night I walked out to Football practice and it was COLD, yet there was excitement in the air. They were all just thankful to GET to practice another day. I read earlier this week that 90% of High school Football team’s seasons are over. Our Fighting Jays were thankful to be part of the 10% who are still on the field with their brothers. I am thankful that I get to be a part of this great school district and that I get to watch my son play another High School football game this Saturday. I want to encourage all of you who are reading this to choose an attitude of gratitude this week and every week.
GO JAYS!
