Hilltop Kindergarten 2024-25
Updated 8-19-2024
Our school's vision is to create a safe, inclusive learning environment for everyone,
where students respect themselves and others,
learn compassion and become empowered scholars.
We want to guide your preparation for Kindergarten!
You can contact the Hilltop office on August 19th or later by calling 425-431-7604 or emailing hilltop_office@edmonds.wednet.edu. For urgent questions or inquiries, Principal Melissa Somoza will check her email periodically through the summer: SomozaM341@edmonds.wednet.edu.
Kindergarten Skills Checklist Needed for Each Registered Student
Please help us get to know your child! Please submit a kindergarten skills checklist for your child to the Hilltop Elementary Office to give us insight into your child's strengths and needs. We have a locked drop box outside the office door that can be accessed 24 hours a day or you can email the form to us at Hilltop_office@edmonds.wednet.edu.
Be sure you have scheduled your child's age 5 wellness check with your doctor!
These appointments often fill up fast during summer. Student vaccines must be up-to-date to start kindergarten. If vaccinations are missing, then students may not begin the school year until they are completed or formally waived with the required paperwork.
Want to give input into what type of classroom environment your child needs?
If you would like to give input on the type of learning environment that best supports your child, then you can submit this form: Student Placement Family Input. Requests for specific teachers are not considered, however, we will consider your comments about teaching styles that you feel best matches your child's needs. Your comments will be shared with the placement team.
