(Reminder) Winter Is Here!
As the weather begins to change, please remind your children that their clothes need to change as well. Coats, shoes, hats, gloves, etc. may be needed sooner rather than later.
If you need assistance in providing any type of clothing, please email Dr. Fuller at pfuller@jgsc.k12.in.us
Similarly, as the rain (and God forbid snow) begins to fall, please remember to keep it slow in the parking lot, both in the morning and afternoon. We have a lot of very excited kids eager to both come to school and go home from school, and we want to make sure we are keeping them as safe as possible.
(REMINDER) PTA- SPONSOR A DAY!
Firstly, if you are interested in joining the WES PTA, please click HERE for the information form.
New This Year: Sponsor-a-Day! If you would like to sponsor a day at Walkerton Elementary School, please click HERE for more information. The way it works is that each day of the school year, you can be a sponsor (1 Day = $1, Day 46 = $46, etc.). Each week, we will shout out those who have sponsored, with all of the proceeds going to our WES PTA to help fund all of the wonderful events they host throughout the year!

Construction at WES!
You may have heard that WES is going to have some construction happening this year, and that is indeed correct!
WES is looking to improve various areas of our building, starting with new heating and cooling systems in our classrooms! Construction will not happen before the first day of school, but will happen throughout the upcoming school year.
But don't worry! Classrooms will be moved around so that there will be no students or staff in classrooms where work is being done.
JGSC is finalizing the construction bidding process, and once that happens, I will be able to provide more details on (1) when construction will start and (2) what rooms will be affected during certain times.
More details coming soon!

Dr. Fuller's Thoughts!
We are almost there, WES!
Christmas is quickly approaching, which means...the real stress starts to kick in!
Did I send my aunt our Christmas card? That present our son really wants on Amazon now won't be here until December 26th, now what?
Cooking, cooking, cooking....when does it end!?
Despite all of the craziness that kicks in these final few days before Christmas, there is nothing like that Christmas Morning Feeling...but that feeling only lasts for one day.
With 10 days left before The Big Day, I challenge you to take some time in these final days to...enjoy it!
We are only blessed with so many Christmas Mornings where our children wake up SO EXCITED to run downstairs to see what Santa brought...let's not take that for granted.
Put the kids in the car and check out the Christmas lights, stop by and see Santa this weekend at WES or the American Legion, watch your favorite Christmas movie...
...but don't lose sight that more than anything, your kids just want to spend that time WITH YOU.
Christmas is special, but those moments you spend with your children at this time of year are PRICELESS!
Don't get too wrapped up in being everything to everyone, and just simply enjoy the next 10 days with your kids.
Christmas will be here before we know it :)
