2024 Program Overview
- Online Michigan Virtual Essentials classes for credit recovery, taught by Michigan Virtual staff with a Brighton Area Schools mentor and in-person computer lab support at the BECC building. Students will need to come into the lab to take all pre-tests and end of module tests.
- Online Michigan Virtual Plus classes for new credit, taught by Michigan Virtual staff with a Brighton Area Schools Mentor and in-person computer lab support at Brighton High School
All students who successfully complete their summer classes will earn a letter grade. This grade will be reflected on the student's high school transcript and is figured into their GPA.
Students can take up to 2 classes. Administrative approval is required to take additional classes.

Attendance
- Lab hours are available each week. Lab attendance is optional; however, students must meet with their mentor once a week.
- All pretests and module exams for essentials classes as well as any midterms and final exams for plus courses must be taken in the lab and proctored by the student's mentor.
Student Support: Teachers and Mentors
Online students will have virtual access to certified and highly qualified content teachers.
Online students will also have in-person and virtual access to a local mentor teacher.
