In the fast-paced world of athletics, it is crucial to recognize and address the unique mental health challenges women face in sports. Societal expectations, stereotypes, and pressure points from professional and personal concerns impact the mental health of female athletes. Empowering women in sports involves the collaboration of coaches, teammates, and sports organizations in creating a supportive ecosystem that prioritizes mental health and well-being. This webinar aims to initiate a powerful conversation about women's mental health in sports. By addressing this critical issue, we hope to inspire positive change and contribute to creating a sports culture that values the well-being of every athlete.
Dr. Maria Luisa Guinto has over twenty years of experience as a sport psychologist serving professional and amateur athletes and teams in the Philippines.
