Office News - Staffing Change
We are pleased to announce that Mrs. Jennie Temple will be our new Attendance Secretary. Mrs. Temple has been working at Gayman Elementary School as an educational assistant in special education. We are delighted that she is moving into this new role! Congratulations, Mrs. Stevens and Mrs. Temple!
Attention Parents of 5th & 6th Grade Students
Next week, you will receive a letter communicating that your child will be participating in health instruction in the coming weeks. Prior to instruction, we ask for parent/guardian consent from elementary parents/guardians.
Once you receive the form, please complete it and return by March 23rd to your child’s homeroom teacher.
Second Trimester Report Cards
Report cards will be available for families to view in the Parent Portal on March 27th at 11:00AM.
Please note: some report card descriptors are ungraded in the second trimester. These descriptors will be gray, or they will be left blank. In mathematics, there are many new additional skills that students will be learning. Therefore, the descriptor is ungraded, for now. In reading, the information on the indicator is incorporated into another indicator.
We look forward to seeing you soon!

VIP & Me Book Club
Our VIP & Me Book Club @the library is in Full Swing!
Thank you to all of the 2nd and 3rd grade students and VIP’s who are gathering together on Thursday evenings to read Mr. Wolf’s Class by Aron Nels Steinke. Most recently, we learned different ways to read graphic novels with our VIP’s, played with palindromes, and began creating our own Mr. Wolf’s class!
Kids Care Club - At-Home Project for Every Grade!
Thank you to all the 4th, 5th and 6th graders who attended Character Does Matter last week. It was an inspiring presentation by our veteran mentors, Chris Kearns and Becca Cornell, and some incredible pillowcase artwork was done by the kids for Operation Gratitude!
For any intermediate student who wasn't able to attend AND for those in grades K through 3rd, there's still an opportunity to contribute this month! Please consider writing a letter or making a card for a deployed service member. You can find information here on how to write to a troop. Drop your cards off in the main office by FRIDAY, MARCH 31st.
And be on the lookout for information on our special April event, when we'll clean up and plant new flowers in the Gayman gardens!
