Conference season continues through December 7 when we'll have another early release day. We hope you continue have rich and meaningful discussions about your students' progress and goals.

Report Cards

Our grades 1-4 first term report cards will be available in the X2 Aspen Family Portal on December 13. You will receive an email when they can be accessed. In preparation for this date, please make sure you are able to log into you Family Portal. Byam All School Reward Puzzle Piece Goal Board

Roar Reward Announced!

We did it! Our students made the most recent all school 2000 ROARs Goal! Our students heard their next all school reward, a Byam All-School Virtual Field Trip! Students will all experience a virtual field trip at two designated times.

Dynamite Diners

This month's Dynamite Diner contest was a close one, and the winner is...4th grade! Our oldest students did a great job showing their 3 R's in the dining room during lunch. Next week we will be selecting their all grade lunch incentive.

Library Presentations

All week, Erin Jordan, a Byam parent, has been visiting our Library classes to share traditional stories from her Lenape family. Students were transfixed as she told the story of Rainbow Crow. She wore her hand stitched regalia and played her handmade drum while we listened to her cousin uncle sing the story of how she got her Lenape name. What a wonderful experience it was to host this local storyteller and learn about some of the Native traditions! Thank you Mrs. Jordan!

Attendance Letters

Attendance to school is an important part of a child's social, emotional, and academic growth. We appreciate every effort made to plan vacations outside of the school calendar dates. Currently our daily attendance rate is averaging 95%.

Counselor's Corner

Dear Byam families,

Children of all ages can have big feelings and difficulty managing their emotions. For some kids this can show up as tantrums and outbursts. We call this “emotional dysregulation”. There are lots of calming techniques parents and caregivers can model and teach kids to help them better regulate their emotions. Below I am sharing a link to an article for parents and caregivers from the Child Mind Institute called, “How to Help Children Calm Down,

Techniques for helping kids regulate their emotions and avoid explosive behavior”, by Caroline Miller. I hope this article may offer some insights and ideas for supporting your children at home.

Byam Cares Program

Another Way to Support Byam Families in need

Tis the season! This year we are hoping to send some holiday cheer to our Byam families in need. In addition to our Byam Cares program, this year our School Counselor, Ms. O'Neil created a wish list on amazon to provide an option to buy toys, games, books, and other gifts our students in need would love to receive. All of the purchases will be mailed to Byam and then distributed to our families. If you are interested in buying a gift, please take a look at the link below. BYAM TRAMPOLINE NIGHT 12/06

*WE HAVE RENTED OUT THE WHOLE PLACE!!!* Next Wednesday 12/06 is our ✨Nova Trampoline Park✨ night in Nashua! We currently do not have a lot of families signed up yet, and if we do not get more to sign up we would have to cancel this event! 🙁 So, if you’re on the fence please think about joining us for a night of fun! Tickets only required for jumpers, and prices include socks. Please fill out the waiver form in advance! Siblings and friends outside of Byam welcome! Tickets will be available for purchase at the door, however in order to secure the facility we need to make sure we pre-sell enough tickets!
