Happy Sunday!! I hope everyone has had a wonderful weekend. Today has been a nice weather day, now that we are officially in the Spring season, here's to hoping for warmer, seasonal weather. A big thank you to Molly Rawding, Mrs. Grabowski, Mrs, Fidler, Ms. Nagle, Ms. Lock, Ms. Danieli, Mrs. Hoffman and all of the families that participated in Harrington's Family Math Night last Thursday. By all accounts the cafe was full, the group was lively and super engaged in wonderful math activities! I'm excited for many more Family Math Night's in the years to come!

Important reminder regarding drop off in the morning... Please remain in your cars when you drop off your students. As I have mentioned before, when you get out of the car to let your student out it slows the process of arrival. We have many families that required the drop off system to be as quick as possible so that they can get to work on time. Please respect the process and remain in your car at all times during arrival and dismissal. Thank you for your understanding.

DISMISSAL REMINDER:

Please remember that if you are changing the way in which your student will be dismissed on a particular day please send in a note with your student, or call the main office. Teachers will follow the consistent plans of that day unless there is notification from a parent/guardian to them directly. Students can be confused on dismissal plans which causes extensive confusion and a delay in the dismissal process. Again, please send in a note or call the office if you change the way your student will be getting home on any particular day.

This is a reminder to please monitor your child for head lice. The following information is helpful to keep in mind about head lice:

Head lice can happen to anyone. It is not a sign of poor hygiene habits or of being dirty. Even though they do not jump or fly, lice can spread from one student to another by sharing combs, brushes, clothing, and hats.

Please do your part to prevent the spread of this communicable condition by checking your child(ren) on a regular basis. Lice infestation is much easier to treat if caught early. If you should discover a case of head lice, please notify the health office, as well as the parents of your child’s close contacts. This is the best way to protect your family and community. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact me via email or phone call.

Hello Harrington Families! HPTO is excited to announce our 2023 Harrington STEAM Fair on April 25th. Students are invited to create a Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, or Mathematics (STEAM) project and display it at the Fair! This is a fun event intended to nurture students' interest in STEAM. There is no judging, but STEAM fair mentors will visit every project and talk to each participant about their topic. All participants present at the STEAM Fair will be automatically entered into a raffle for gift certificates and other prizes supported by a donation from the University of Massachusetts Lowell Department of Chemical Engineering!
