The Cedar Hill High School Girls Basketball Team earned a 65-28 victory over Mansfield to improve to 4-1 in District 6A-11 Competition.

The Lady Longhorns (14-10 overall) will visit Dallas Skyline (13-12) at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday before returning to host defending 6A State Runner-Up, DeSoto (12-5) at 6 p.m. Friday.

After playing Duncanville close in an 80-71 loss on January 2, the Cedar Hill High School Boys Basketball Team scored its first 6A-11 victory of the season with a 61-45 win over Mansfield.

The Longhorns (15-8, 1-2) will visit Dallas Skyline (11-10) at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. The Longhorns and Raiders split the season series last season.

Cedar Hill will then host DeSoto (12-6) -- a state semifinal team from 2022-2023 -- at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

After briefly entering the transfer portal, Liberty sophomore quarterback Kaidon Salter announced he's returning to the Flames, whom he led to a 13-1 record in 2023.

Salter, a Cedar Hill High School Class of 2021 Graduate, finished with 3,965 yards and 44 touchdowns in his first full season as Liberty's starter. He led Liberty to the Conference USA Championship and the school's first-ever Fiesta Bowl appearance.

At Cedar Hill, Salter led the Longhorns to the 2020 State Championship Game.

The Cedar Hill High School Girls Soccer Team (0-1-1) will compete in the Brewer Tournament this weekend in Fort Worth, opening with Fort Worth Northside at 8 a.m. Thursday.

Cedar Hill's Andres Escarzaga scored unassisted as the Longhorns lost to Prosper Rock Hill, 2-1, in the Grapevine/Colleyville Tournament. Escarzaga scored the lone goal in a 6-1 loss to Richardson with an assist from Manuel Barraza.

The Longhorns (0-3) will open the Allen Showcase at 9:30 a.m. Thursday against El Paso Parkland.
