Volume 5 Issue 2
Week 1 is in the books! What a great first week we had. Our K-8 students not only had a great week of classes but had their first Maverick Hangout of the year while the parents participated in Back to School Night/Day. This week, our high school families will have Back to School Night on Monday at 6 pm at the high school campus in the Multi Purpose Room. Please be sure to mark your calendars for this fun and informative event. Big thank you to PTA and all those that supported PTA at our first Family Night Out at Handles. Thanks to your participation and the generosity of Handel's Ice Cream we earned $90 for our PTA.

Assessments: All students have begun our district wide assessments. These assessments are an important data point for our teachers to support student learning and show where students are at and provide a blueprint for where we will take them. With that being said, the assessments are not part of students' grades but rather all about their learning journey. If students complete any of these at home, it's important they have a quiet place to work with all of their materials.
Schedule for 2023/24: Linked is the schedule for this year. K-6 students now have two in-person days per week!
