Do you know a student-athlete that shows exceptional leadership on the field as a teammate and in the classroom? Each month one male and one female athlete will be recognized with this distinct honor of being named Under Armour's Student-Athlete of the Month!

This is the final week for fifth and eighth-grade students to submit the School Choice application in Campus Portal. Applications are due January 20!

Families, please note that in the upcoming years, City Schools will be renovating the high schools listed below. During renovations, students will attend school in swing spaces that have already been determined. For more information, including swing space addresses, click HERE.

High school students who need to make up course credits before graduation are encouraged to enroll in Baltimore City Public Schools’ free Saturday School program.

Students must register in-person this Saturday, January 21, or the last day to register is January 28. Saturday School runs for 14 weeks (January 28 to May 20) from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

For all middle and high school students: Please join City Schools for the FAFSA Fest Pre-Game Kickoff on January 25. At this virtual session, you can learn how to earn cash for college, and hear Q&A from local colleges and universities! City Schools is hosting two Town Hall sessions to learn more about the Kirwan Blueprint for Maryland’s schools and what it means for Baltimore City Public Schools. Kirwan is an overhaul of education funding, designed to close equity gaps and improve the overall quality of education in Maryland.

Join us virtually on Thursday, January 26 from 6 - 7 p.m. to discuss Kirwan with a focus on early childhood education and college and career readiness.

The second virtual Town Hall will be held Tuesday, January 31 from 6 - 7 p.m. to focus on high quality and diverse teachers and leaders and more resources for students.

Please join the Board of School Commissioners for an in-person conversation between the Board and students, families, communities and staff! Share your thoughts, questions and concerns, and learn how the Board supports City Schools' students, staff, and families.

The Family and Community Board Forum will be held at Edmondson-Westside High School (501 N. Athol Street) on Wednesday, February 8 at 5:30 p.m. We hope to see you there!

Introducing "Off the Grid"! In this new bi-weekly podcast series, the City Schools Student Media Team will come together to discuss the issues that affect students in Baltimore City. From mental health to grades, family, friends and building relationships, check back regularly to hear what the students have to say!

Calling all seventh and eighth grade students! One Book Baltimore is looking for performers for the One Book Baltimore Student Showcase. This is your chance to express your feelings about themes in this year's book, Furia through spoken word, song, dance, visual arts and video. Entries will be accepted until January 20.
