A Message From the Principal
DHES Families,
It is hard to believe that the month of May is coming to an end and Memorial Day is upon us. We have just a short period of time before summer break will be here. I am hoping everyone will have a great long weekend with their families and friends. Memorial Day is a time dedicated to honoring U.S. military personnel who have died while serving in the United States Armed Forces. It is important we are thankful for the commitment and sacrifice of all of our military personnel. It is also important to remember how all gave some and some gave all.
Yesterday we had a fantastic Jump Rope Assembly. Nick and Kaylee from Learnin’ the Ropes wowed us with their professional jump roping skills and the positive message of never giving up on your dreams. A big thank you to our PTA for sponsoring this event.
Next Friday, June 2nd, the PTA has planned an incredible year end Carnival. It will take place at North Tapps Middle School as the event is going to be huge. The carnival hours will be 5:30-8:00 pm. There will be bounce houses, carnival games, a dessert walk, dunk tank, face painting, great food and even a magician on site. Come one, come all. Tickets are on sale now!
Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. Be safe!
Kevin Anderson, Principal
