5th Gr M-STEP - April 27th and 29th
All 5th grade students will take the M-STEP this week. Science will be taken on Tuesday, April 27, and Social Studies will be taken on Thursday, April 29. Testing will begin after their morning specials classes and most will be completed before lunch. For those students who need a little extra time, they will finish their testing after lunch and/or the day after each testing day.
Please have your student bring earbuds or headphones to school on testing days. All students got a pair of earbuds in their At-Home Learning Kits in March!
Girl Scouts Opportunity
Your story is your power—get ready to unleash it this spring! Girl Scouts is partnering with former First Lady Michelle Obama for a new program, Becoming Me, through which girls will earn badges, explore who they want to become with journaling activities, and join their Girl Scout sisters for a national virtual event with Mrs. Obama on Thursday, May 6. Join or renew your membership by April 30 to claim your spot! Mrs. Obama knows what it means to find her voice and become more than she ever thought possible, and through the program, girls will unlock the power of their unique stories and embark on their journey to becoming their best selves. The Becoming Me program series is provided at no additional cost to Girl Scout members and is available to girls in grades K-12. Financial assistance is available to assist with the cost of membership, if needed. Learn more about this opportunity at girlscouts.org/becomingme.
5th Grade Jr. High Presentations Continue This Week!
This week, Mrs. Tremblay and Ms. Wyatt from the Junior High will be here to talk with 5th graders about their transition to 6th grade next year. This is something we do every year for our 5th graders so they have a better idea of what to expect when they get to 6th grade.
Students always enjoy these presentations and have lots of good questions for Mrs. Tremblay and Ms. Wyatt! We look forward to having them in our building!

Updated Contact Information
If your contact information or your child's emergency contacts have changed over the course of the school year, please be sure to contact the main office to update your information. Valid contact information is vital this year in the event that your child becomes ill at school or if we need to make contact with you.
Yearbook Orders
This year, due to COVID and the restrictions in place, you will be able to order a CIS yearbook online at: www.geskusphoto.com/?YB=4041 Ordering online will help to keep down the exchange of paper and money between GPI, the students and the school. The cost of each yearbook is $10.00. Online ordering will be available up until the yearbook goes to print (we will let you know when that happens). After the yearbook is printed you will still be able to order a yearbook, but there will be a shipping fee and it will be mailed directly to the address you provide when ordering. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to contact us.
