Dates to Remember
February 13-17 - Wellness Week
February 16 - 3rd Grade Ugandan Water Walk
February 20-24 - Winter Recess; School Closed
February 28 - Budget Study Session/Board of Education Meeting, 6:00 PM
Manor 3rd graders are busy studying communities and cultures in East Africa. We realized that many people in the world don't have access to clean water. We would like to do something to change the world and make a difference in the lives of kids who have to walk for water every day.
Through this campaign with the Ugandan Water Project, we are going to bring rainwater collection systems to schools in Uganda. We are going to be the change we want to see in the world, and we want you to join us! Help us reach our goal before our campaign ends on February 19th. Check out the photos from our assemblies this week in the Photo Gallery below!
Save the Date! Manor's Imagine Day 2023
Imagine Day is Manor's biggest event of the year and is scheduled to be held on June 16th. Your Manor School Committee is pulling together all interested friends, family, and community members excited to make this event a huge success for the kids and asking them to join the Imagine Day Planning Committee. As a Committee Member, you will be at the forefront of planning this event: picking activities for the event, sourcing materials, helping coordinate volunteers, and getting everyone hyped up.
Planning Committee meetings will be held during the school day at Manor - typically towards the end of the school day - a couple times per month up until the event in June. Attendance at every meeting is NOT mandatory, but being able to make as many meetings as possible is always helpful. PTA membership is NOT a requirement to becoming a Committee Member.
If you are interested in joining the Imagine Day Planning Committee to help make this event a huge success, use the Sign Up Genius link below. If you know of any family/friend/community members that would like to be on this committee, please share the link with them.

Learn Spanish with HF-L Community Ed!
SPANISH FOR THE ELEMENTARY YEARS is an educationally oriented fun and interactive program designed specifically for the K–5 elementary student. The unique six-week curriculum features foundation vocabulary introduced through games, singing and hands-on activities. Students are able to compound words and begin forming simple sentences. Classes are never a repeat! Three different sessions are offered during the school year. New vocabulary and activities are introduced with each 6-week session! Returning students continue expanding their vocabulary base and new students begin building their vocabulary base. The program consists of a 5-year rotation of lesson plans! New and returning students can join. Research studies indicate the benefits of introducing foreign language skills at an early age! Early introduction increases the student’s ability to absorb rather than translate the language. Join the fun!
