Greetings Shenandoah Valley Families,
We hope you all are enjoying a great summer! The first day of school will be here before we know it. We cannot wait to have the halls full of smiling faces filled with excitement for learning and exploring. To our returning families, we have certainly missed you over the summer, and to our new families, welcome to Shenandoah Valley! We are excited you are here!
Over the next few weeks, you will be receiving communications from the district and school regarding various topics to prepare you for the start of the 2023/2024 school year. Here is a link for the Parkway School District's Back to School Guide with helpful information.
A little bit about me...I have spent my educational career as an assistant principal, 4th and 5th grade teacher, 6th grade math teacher, and Math in Focus trainer. I wholeheartedly believe that a loving and challenging educational community, where there is a strong partnership between school and home, will positively change the lives of our children. I love building relationships with students and families and want to start by sharing a bit about my own. I have a wonderful husband and three amazing children. My oldest son, Trey, is 28, played college basketball, and now lives in Chicago as an accountant. My daughter, Gabby, is 25 and teaches overseas. She has taught in Thailand and Spain and will be heading to New Zealand this fall. My youngest daughter, Mia, is 21 and is studying interior design at Missouri State University and spent the summer in New York for an internship. We have a dog named Princess, a toy Yorkshire Terrier, who lives up to her name. We have two cats, Sirga and Bala, and they rule the house. Family is extremely important to me, and I believe we should cherish our time spent with family both at home and at school.

I look forward to building relationships with all of you and your kids!
