• Front doors will open at 7:30am. First bell rings at 8:15am. When students arrive on campus before 7:45am they will go to the gym, until they are released to class.
• Students who arrive after the 8:15am bell, will receive a Tardy, unless they have arrived to school on a late bus.

The A-G Student of the Week is Santiago Chavarro,

nominated by Mrs. Barrientos.

Santiago is a wonderful example of Responsibility. Any time he is in class he gives 120% of his effort, attention and heart to every lesson. It doesn't matter if the information is new and difficult to him, he makes sure to ask questions to ensure he can be successful. When he is absent, he will not make excuses or rely on extra time, he always inquires ahead of time if possible for what he might miss to make sure he does not fall behind. - Maria Barrientos

The H-O Student of the Week is Isabela Hernandez,

nominated by Mr. Walters.

Isabela is great to have in class and to know as a person. She is enthusiastic. She is polite and she is friendly. She gives max effort in class. She has tried really hard to improve in social studies. - Terrence Walters

The P-Z Student of the Week is Michael Strozik,

nominated by Mr. Startz.

Michael says good morning every day and chooses to use zero period to continue working on his art assignments. - Mr. Startz

PBIS Expectations & Rewards - PBIS stands for Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports. One large piece is explaining expectations upfront. Another piece is rewarding students when we see those focused on positive behaviors. 3 campus-wide expectations posters (CLICK HERE) are placed throughout the campus. Teachers will take time during the first day or two to explain these rules in detail and help students understand what they look like. Our campus is also implementing new software (Classcraft) to encourage students to earn rewards and use them in many different ways. Please have your child download the app on their device and log into Classlink on the LCISD webpage (at the top) to start to explore what this is all about. They do NOT need a phone to do this. It can be done on a laptop or computer.
