Dear Erickson Families,
Hope everyone is enjoying the beginning of Fall. I am looking forward to cooler weather. Reminder to send a fall coat or sweatshirt with your child as mornings are often cooler than the afternoons.
TOMORROW, September 23rd is Safety Day & Go Orange Day. We will be practicing a Fire Drill, Severe Weather and Lockdown Drill (see more info below). Tomorrow is also National Go Orange Day for Hunger Action. The community is encouraged to wear orange to work or school! Erickson will support hunger awareness and collect canned food items to donate to the Bloomingdale Food Pantry and the Northern Illinois Food bank. This is in partnership with the Character Counts Bloomingdale Coalition. Students can bring in food items (check the flyer below for most needed items) to donate throughout the week and place in the marked bins in the lobby.
HOT LUNCH is now open to purchase...orders due by Friday, September 30th. Flyers went home today (flyer is also below).
Erickson PTO is fundraising using Cherrydale & Ottis Spunkmeyer. Students can earn prizes for selling items. Please make sure to check out the fundraising folder students brought home. Profits go back into classrooms and toward students. This is how we were able to purchase the Gaga Pit for the school. See below for information and contests. Last day to sell is September 30th.
