Holly Ridge Middle Weekly Update

Greetings from your principal, Jennifer Newby.

Our students had a great time at the dance on Friday! It was truly a fun-filled “Glowing” event! Thank you so much to our PTA and volunteers for helping make our dance a success!

This week is spirit week leading up to our pep rally on Friday. Here is the link to view each day. We encourage all students to participate.

On Wednesday, students will have the opportunity to take spring pictures. Each student will receive picture ordering information.

Wednesday is interim report day. All grades will be updated in Powerschool by the end of the school day. Please reach out to your student's teachers with any questions.

Rising 9th Grade Parents:

High School Registration is right around the corner. Please refer to the linked PowerPoint for important information about the process. You can reach out to Mr. Bearman at bbearman@wcpss.net with any questions.

PTA Updates:

• Mark your calendars for COIN WARS: The Revenge

• 5 days ONLY: March 4th - March 8th*

• The rules:

• Paper bills & pennies add points to your team

• Silver coins can be used to sabotage your competitors

• Every cent = 1 point for BOTH in-person and online donations

• Donations can be made in-person in the main hallway, or online (link will be featured in next week's email and will go live on the 4th)

• Our goal is $10,000 which breaks down to $10 per student

• Funds raised will help cover expenses for classroom supplies, the EOG celebration, 8th grade dance, and more!

*Due to the Teacher work day on Tuesday March 5th, donations that day can be made online only

• PTA Meeting March 12th in the HRMS Media Center

• All PTA members are welcome to join in-person or virtually!

• A calendar invitation with meeting link and agenda will be sent to members prior to the meeting
