Each class will have a team color. Please look for a communication from your child's teacher about the team color for Field Day.

Below are a few reminders for a successful Field Day:

• Students should wear appropriate clothing and sneakers
• If your child requires sunscreen, it should be applied before school.
• Pack a water bottle with your child's name on it
• Pack a towel
• Pack a hat
• There will be an extra table outside for water donations
  
• Donations of healthy and cool snacks will take place in the classroom after field day. Please coordinate donations with your child's teacher.
• If you would like to volunteer to help Mr. Liberatore at a station, please email him at LiberatoreD@NorwalkPS.org
• Field Day volunteers will be asked to report to the office first to receive a visitor's pass
• Parents and families are welcome to observe at the field

Please join us for our final School Governance Council meeting this Wednesday. The Council will be talking about the progress with the Legacy Path Project and open positions for next year. School Governance Councils provide an opportunity for schools to engage with families and community members in the essential dialogue about student achievement and preparing all students for success. Consider joining our team and sharing your ideas for continuous improvement of our school community.

The school will gather in the gym on Friday, June 9 at 9:30 to honor our faithful mail carrier, Smitty. Families are welcome to join us for this celebration. There will be displays of song, music, art, and poetry. There will also be some special guests from the Norwalk community. We hope to see you there!

Yearbooks were distributed last week, and all books that were ordered should have been received. Contact your teacher with any errors or issues.

Those wishing to purchase a yearbook should email the Rowaytonyearbook@gmail.com with Child’s Name, Grade and Teacher. A Check for $45 Payable to Rowayton PTA should be left with the teacher or main office. We have a limited number of yearbooks for sale.

Yearbook 2023 -2024

Many of our staff will be leaving Rowayton and the yearbook is seeking volunteers to join the yearbook as contributors, photographers, Art, Recognition or Ad Editors, quality control reviewers, and general staff. We cannot maintain a quality yearbook without parental support. Contact the yearbook @ Rowaytonyearbook@gmail.com for more information.

As you all know, our amazing custodian, Mr. Richard, always goes above and beyond for everyone at our school! We are planning to have a day honoring Richard at Rowayton Elementary school to acknowledge all of his hard and dedication to Rowayton school.
If you are interested in contributing towards his gift- please venmo @Jennifer-Benitez-713. Please add Mr. Rich in the venmo note, and please have contributions in by June 6th.
There will be a surprise ceremony on June 12 to present Richard with his gift. Thank you!
