Red Ribbon Week
Red Ribbon Week takes place every year in October. As a district, we will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week during the week of October 25, 2021. Alcohol, Tobacco, and other Drug lessons will be instructed to all students in grades K-6 by the classroom teacher during this week.
Please look for an e-blast with more information. This will be sent to parents and guardians on October 1, 2021.

Clothing Request from the Health Office
On occasion a student will fall in a puddle, spill something at lunch, or have a similar accident. When this occurs, the Health Office happily provides the child with a change of clothes. Currently, we are in need of clothing for older students. Please consider donating gently used/new clothing including:
- Athletic shorts size 12-14
- Leggings size 12-14
Thank you for your generosity!
Celebrating 60 T-shirts!
Join us in celebrating 60 years of learning by ordering your child's Anniversary T-shirt today!
All t-shirts are free and courtesy of Gayman Elementary School.

A Second Lunch Option
Students are entitled to ONE reimbursable breakfast and ONE reimbursable lunch per day. If a child is interested in receiving a second entrée, then the student's lunch account will be charged.
Families may want to put money in their child's account through MySchoolBucks.com as there will be no cash transactions this year in an effort to serve the students as safely and swiftly as possible.
Menus Subject to Change
School districts throughout the region are having a challenging time getting food deliveries right now and CBSD is no exception. Some items are in short supply, such as pizza or chicken, while other orders include substituted items. While the menu is subject to change, please know that students will always have free breakfast and lunch available.
Interested in Volunteering?
If you have additional questions about volunteering in our district, please contact Florence Hughes at fhughes@cbsd.org or at 267-893-2086.

Crushing Stigma – Building Mental Strength for Life
The Central Bucks School District and NAMI Bucks County PA are pleased to partner together to offer this program to our community. The event is open to students, adults, and families, and free childcare will be provided for all or a portion of the event as needed. Register for event updates and childcare at www.CBSD.org/crushingstigma_register.
CBSD Farmers Market Reopens
Any Central Bucks family who may need a little extra food assistance is welcome to join us on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of every month at Barclay Elementary School. Our drive-up food distributions run from 4:30 to 5:30 PM. We generally have free dry goods, fresh produce, milk, eggs, and bread, and often have some frozen meat and poultry. By our estimates, 1,500 CB children may experience temporary or chronic food insecurity—a statistic which should not exist in a community with our resources.
Our completely volunteer-run and managed organization was founded on two beliefs: 1) During times of need, which we all experience in one form or another, we should be able to count on the compassion and support of our neighbors; and 2) Our community’s collective commitment to our children is a bond much stronger than all of the other forces that might otherwise divide us.
If you have any questions about the market, please email jbrereton@cbsd.org or mamcdonald@cbsd.org.
