The Buzz
Spring Term - 2nd February 2023
Message from the Head of School
This term we have seen more classes visit the local library in Hampton. This is such a wonderful facility to have in the local community and I am pleased that we are able to visit and encourage the children to engage with its services. A large number of children have taken books out from the library to read and share with you at home. Please enjoy these books and then take them back to the library yourselves. The school is not responsible for the books, so do take note of the return dates. Reading is such a vital part of the Primary curriculum which is why we ensure your child is exposed to high quality texts throughout the day. We also want to develop their love for reading, so each class has their own 'class reader'. This week in assembly two pupils from 4B did a brilliant presentation about their class reader 'Krindlekrak' by Philip Ridley. Please ask your child what they are reading in class and maybe get them to share with you a part of the story!
Finally, this week has seen the year 3 parent showcases. It is always a pleasure welcoming parents into school to see some of the amazing work your children complete. I hope these sessions are valuable and you enjoy looking through their books together.
I hope you have a wonderful week.
Jon James
