Congratulations to Senior Isaac Das for his acceptance into Princeton University on a full ride scholarship. During his time there he will be studying to become a physician. Isaac was accepted through a program called “Questbridge”, which will help him complete his four years at Princeton University, including travel and even a laptop! Isaac will also receive a stipend while attending school. Unfortunately, he will not be accompanied by his family to New Jersey, but yet he is excited to attend. Das stated, “I think the adjustment will be hard at first, but having friends and mentors there will definitely help.” His family and friends were a huge support during the application process. Submitting applications was tough and Isaac was nervous, but he was determined to showcase himself to the best of his ability.
With top choices from Rice University to Stanford, Isaac was accepted into his most desired school, Princeton University! “Southwest as a school has been great for me and my sense of community is strong; I owe this acceptance to the people around me who were always in my corner rooting for me,” said Das. At Princeton University, the professors and career center attracted Isaac. He says the culture overall is a big part of it and that there is much to accomplish there for him. Wanting to become a physician, he plans to pursue medical school and successfully practice surgery. Specifically what interests him now is neurology. As a backup plan, he would also enjoy learning to become a biomedical engineer. Das says he is extremely blessed and is very grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow in such an awesome environment.
