A message from Campus Principal, Sonya Pitcock
Cougar parents,
As I write this last message to you for this school year I want to tell you we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you for your support, your encouragement of us and of your kids, and for trusting that we were doing the best we can for your kids. This year looked different in many ways, but we still laughed, learned and had fun at school. We look forward to a break as I’m sure your kids do and we are excited about having all our students face to face next year! We hope you all have a safe and happy summer!
Sincerely,
Sonya Pitcock
STAAR
Our students will take STAAR Math and Reading this week on Tuesday and Wednesday. At-home learners need to bring their device with them to test. We will have make up tests on Thursday and Friday for any students absent from testing. Please be sure to help your kids get a good night’s rest, a good breakfast and healthy snacks for testing day. We know they will do great!
Yearbooks
In-person students will receive their yearbooks on Friday, May 14. At-home students will be able to come in to pick up their books the following week from May 17-20.
Final exams
We will have a normal bell schedule for the week of exams. Students will be taking exams in their classes Monday – Thursday. Friday is a half day and will be used for makeups or whatever students need to complete.
May 21
The last day of school is an early release day. Students will be released at 12:35 and buses will run at that time.
Device Retrieval
We will be collecting district owned technology including chromebooks, chargers, hot spots, etc. on Friday, May 21 from 2:00 – 4:00 PM and Saturday May 22 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Please plan to drive through the gym parking lot to turn in your technology. You will remain in your cars, pull to a station and turn in the devices. More details will be sent out separately the last week of school.
Next year
We look forward to have Meet the Teacher on August 4, 2021 to kick off next year. Please mark your calendars!
Thank you CMS families for loving our CMS staff during Staff Appreciation Week!
PALS Project - Opportunities to Support Our Community
This year's PALS were tasked with a year-end service project to find an organization to help. If you wish to donate, here are the needs. Your student may bring items to K107 or the Allen ISD Service Center on May 15.
Thank you for supporting our community!
Thank you to the CMS PTA Business Sponsors
The PTA would like to extend our gratitude to the businesses that sponsored the CMS PTA this year. Every business sponsorship received was used towards supporting our students and staff through programs such as Red Ribbon Week, Reflections Art Program, Teacher Appreciation, Staff Grants, and Senior Scholarships.
We know that in these times many businesses are struggling, so we ask that you consider supporting these local businesses like they have supported us.
