Device and Material Distribution will take place at Creekside Elementary. Please enter and park in the bus lot entrance off of George King Road, where you will see our mobile units. Please do not use the main entrance to the school.

• questions about their child's schedule
• setting up the Powerschool Parent Portal
• setting parents up as Canvas Course Observers

This School year, teachers and staff at Ignite! will use the following tools to communicate effectively with families.

Every Two weeks families will receive The Spark! Family Newsletter by Email!

Grades K - 5th will use ClassDojo as the primary tool to communicate with families.

Please complete the steps on the ClassDojo Letter to stay connected to your child's teacher. You may present the letter to your child's teacher at Open House.

Grades 6th - 12th will use TalkingPoints as the primary tool of communication.

Every student at Ignite! must identify a Learning Coach. A Learning Coach is a responsible adult who is at home with the student and available to provide support to the student throughout the instructional day. They assist the student with meeting classroom and school requirements. The time commitment for a Learning Coach will vary depending on the student’s grade level and specific needs.

A Learning Coach can be any caregiver that takes an active role in the student’s learning. They are a key piece of a student’s educational team and should have a good understanding of learning management systems, be comfortable with technology to help their student when needed, and have the availability to speak with teachers and school staff on a regular basis to discuss student progress. The Learning Coach will be the main point of contact for staff members regarding the student’s academic progress and performance.

What to Expect

Learning coaches at all levels will most likely support their student(s) with the following on a consistent basis:

• Logging in on the students DPS issued device

• Logging on the teacher's Zoom link

• Ensuring that the student attends all live learning sessions

• Following the class/student schedule

• Helping the student with navigating technology and learning management systems

• Monitoring student engagement and progress of playlist/assignment completion

• Communicating with the teacher

• Checking for communication daily

• Assist the student with advocating for their academic success

• Check Quarterly Progress Reports and Report Cards when distributed

Schedules for the 2023 - 24 school year will be available in Powerschool on The week if August 21st - 25th. Please make sure you have access to your Powerschool Parent Portal, as it is necessary to view the schedule, see grades throughout the year, and to update your student's contact information.
