• As you set up your account you will be asked to create your own PIN.
• Once you enter the site, your student's information should be pre-populated into the forms. Double check that the pre-populated information is correct, fix any wrong information, complete new information, and then submit. Check each Section.
• NOTE: Choose Yes or No at the end of each section BEFORE trying to update the information.
• Click NOTE: Use the Save and Return button, frequently.
• Once you have completed all seven parts, select Save and Return THEN Save and Submit to District.

Tickets for Junior/Senior Prom went on sale on Friday, April 8 and will be on sale until Wednesday, April 27. Tickets may NOT be purchased at the door.

A single ticket is $30.00 per student and 2 tickets are $50. You may pay by check, cash, or go to our on our website Store and select “Prom Ticket Single or Prom Ticket Couple." If you are paying by cash or check, please pay at the front office before or after school or at lunch.

For each ticket purchased, the student will receive an envelope with forms that need to be filled out and turned in BEFORE the day of Prom. Students may bring a guest from outside of the school or even a 9th/10th grader from TCS@ODU, but each guest will need to fill out the appropriate forms.

Cedar Point Permission Slip Students who want to travel to Cedar Point with us on Friday, May 20th, will need to have this permission slip filled out and turned in to the office, along with $50 to have a seat on the bus. We are only getting two buses and so it will be first come, first serve.

Thursday, April 14th, 2022 is #ForDaCulture Day! On this day we are encouraging students and staff to Rep Your Culture/Heritage! This is a student-led initiative and we want you to celebrate with us by wearing your cultural clothing and/or bringing your cultural flag.

At our March meeting we discussed resilience and how it connects to our Panther Pillar-Grit. Sometimes we are in frustrating situations that make us want to give up, but we talked about ways to push through the frustration and persevere. People found they already have a lot of systems in place to help manage tasks. Our next meeting is Thursday, April 28th from 7-7:45 pm. We will be discussing empathy; hope to see you there!

Information Technology is working on creating a synchronized dance between their sphero and a partner's. It is the first event in our Sphero Olympics. We've been discussing RAID 0 and RAID 1, understanding different types of storage on the computer and in the CPU, and discussing hyperthreading.

Web Design - Web Design has been designing websites that include all of their favorite things, with YouTube videos, audio files, images, gifs, customized fonts. They are becoming quite the Web Masters.

Programming - Programming has been taking a deep dive into loops, explaining the anatomy of a loop, designing loops that ask for incredibly difficult parameters, and creating pseudocode. They've began working with Java to take their pseudocode and elevate it to implementation level.

The Charles School at Ohio Dominican University is proud to be a member of the Ohio Early College Association. Representatives from each of the 13 Ohio Early College High Schools meet monthly to share best practices and resources, plan occasional group initiatives, and celebrate our work.

The Charles School at Ohio Dominican University has been a member of Middle College National Consortium (MCNC) since 2007. MCNC is a national organization dedicated to increasing the number of high school students across the country who have access to college classes with an integrated support system that positions students for success. Member schools develop and sustain a successful model of collaborative education that expands student's future opportunities.

Our partnership with EL Education empowers our teachers to unleash the potential of their students. EL Education is built on ten design principles that reflect the educational values and beliefs of Kurt Hahn, founder of Outward Bound and co-founder of EL Education. These principles also reflect the design's connection to other related thinking about teaching, learning , and the culture of schools.

TCS@ODU is a School-wide Title 1 program, enabling us to receive Federal Funds to ensure that our students receive the support they need to reach and exceed grade level goals in reading and math. We welcome parent involvement in planning, review and improvement of Title 1 programs. Please contact Debbie Addison at addison.2@thecharlesschool.org with any questions.

Per House Bill 21 community schools are required to perform a monthly review of student files and randomly select families for residency verification. Please contact the school immediately in case of an address change. Proof of residency must be submitted within two weeks of an address change. If evidence is not provided, requests for additional documentation or a home visit may occur.
