Black History Month - Theme-Believe, Achieve, Succeed

We will have various activities to showcase our students' talents for Black History Month.

Fifth grade students will participate in the wax museum and third grade students will perform songs.

Mid-Quarter Progress Reports

Mid-quarter progress reports will be sent home with all students on Friday, Feb. 24th. You can always view students' grades on Schoology. Please schedule a conference with your child's teacher if you have any questions or concerns.

Mardi Gras Parade Information

Mardi Gras 2024

Students can wear a Mardi Gras t-shirt on next Friday, Feb. 9th with their uniform pants. The parade will start at 1:00 p.m. School will be closed Monday, February 12th-Friday, February 15tth. Students will return on Monday, February 19th.

Work packets will be sent home with students for Mardi Gras. We ask that they be returned on Monday, Feb.19th. We are preparing for ACAP testing which will begin in March. Teachers are working hard at preparing our students for success. It is imperative that students are present and on time each day. All students in grades 2-5 will be tested in Reading, Math and 4th grade will also take Science.

Cell Phones

Parents, we are having a serious problem with students using cell phones during instructional time. Cell phones are ringing during instructional time and are disturbing instruction. All cell phones should be powered off during instructional time. Students who violate this rule, cell phone will be taken away and parents can retrieve it at the end of the school year. As we approach state testing, students will be suspended if they are found to be in possession of a cell phone or Apple watch in the testing room. Please talk with your child about the importance of making sure all cell phones are turned off when students come to school.

Spring Pictures

All students will take pictures on Tuesday, Feb. 20th. Students can wear their favorite Spring outfit. Proofs will be sent home to purchase pictures.

In light of recent events in the schools we are asking that only store bought items be sent to the school for treats. All items will need to be sent with students to school. No items will be accepted in the office.
