Kia ora tatou,
Rec Centre
I am pleased to announce that as of tomorrow (Friday 10th November) our Rec Centre will be open for use. At 7.30 am we will gather for a short blessing to bless the space. Norm Hill from Ngati Tumutumu will lead the blessing, all are welcome.
At 9.15 am we will be holding our first School Assembly since Term 1. We thank the school community for their patience and support. It has been a tough process to work through and I thank the Board of Trustees for all of their mahi.
We are really happy with the end product of the interior ceiling, as we now have state of the art sport tiles and additionally, LED lighting. The ceiling is now ⅓ the original weight it was, and we no longer have to use the old lighting system where the lights took minutes to warm up fully!

Thank you for your cooperation. Keely was a special person and teacher, and we were fortunate enough to have her touch our hearts here at Stanley Avenue School.

2023 Stanley Ave Athletics Results
After postponing because of rain, we completely lucked out with the weather and had a fantastic day at Herries park with our 8 years and over students. Thank you to Mrs Meyler and all of our wonderful helpers, these days can not go ahead without support from our school community and it is very much appreciated.
There were lots of performances to be proud of, and many tired but satisfied athletes at the end of the day. Congratulations to our winners and well done to everyone else for giving it your best!

Te Aroha District Athletics Sports 2023 - Thank you
Te Aroha District results will be in next week’s newsletter but there are many people to acknowledge and thank for a superb day yesterday! Congratulations to all of our students who ran, threw and jumped their way through the day.
First of all, Te Aroha Athletics Club and their esteemed President Sarah who were so organised and supportive as always!
Huge thank you to Lorry, Claire, Kristina, Avrill, Jess, Ben, Dave, Wouter, Kelly, our District Schools and the large group of Te Aroha College students who made the day all run so smoothly.
To our team here at Stanley you are so passionate and made the day just perfect, whether you were with us or making it possible for us to go by being back at school!
To our many students who stepped up and helped - Connor, Blake, Ace, Tamati, Chrysler, Mereana, Jayde, Charlie, Xavier, and all our other helpers throughout the day. I hope I haven’t missed anyone and apologies if I have.
Thanks again Di Meyler
