South Dakota Titles To Go
From the desk of Kim Bonen, Electronic Resources Coordinator...
What Is South Dakota Titles To Go?
South Dakota Titles to Go (SDTTG) is an eBook consortium, provided by OverDrive and facilitated by the State Library. It provides participating public library patrons the ability to download audiobooks and eBooks. They may be checked out for a period of time, read in a browser, placed on the patron's computer, or transferred to a portable device. Audiobooks and eBooks are automatically returned when due.
What is required to join South Dakota Titles To Go?
- Be a federally recognized public library in South Dakota
- Serve a population of less than 100,000
Participating libraries sign participation agreements with OverDrive, which manages all billing and financial aspects directly with the participating library.
What if I’m a Combo Library?
Combo libraries who serve both students and the public can join SDTTG. Their patrons can access SDTTG titles using their public library cards.
Combo libraries may be interested in setting their students up with Sora - the school interface for Overdrive. Sora integrates with a variety of learning management systems and allows you to build a unique digital collection based on your school’s curriculum and enrichment needs.
Public Library CONNECT enables students on Sora to browse and borrow titles from their local public library’s digital collection.
