Congratulations Parents of the Class of 2023! [and students :) ]

Less than 80 days and your student will soon be walking one/two stages. This is a crazy, busy time for all of us and I wanted to take the time to make sure that you have all the pertinent information to get through the next couple months.


Please also note: I want our seniors to finish strong and make GOOD CHOICES for the next 80 days. [read below about VAPING]. I tend to operate from a positive perspective and I would like to focus on DOING THE RIGHT THINGs, instead of focusing on the bad. So, let's celebrate this exciting time by TCOB'ing. Cap and Gowns were Delivered on Tuesday, Feb. 28th-Does your Senior have his/hers?

Senior cap and gown information was given in October. I have sent numerous emails to students to remind them to TCOB and get their C/G. The C/G can be used for both LSC and NCISD graduation. What to do IF your student has not ordered a C/G:

Top 10 Honors Breakfast, Friday, April 28th

IECHS will honor the TOP 10 RANKED SENIORS in the Class of 2023. Invitations will be sent to the students when grades are locked in after the 3rd 9 weeks. More information to follow for those that will be involved in this.

Senior Trip to CAROLINA CREEK

Seniors will ride a bus with their class to Carolina Creek in Huntsville. Cost of the trip is covered in senior fee packages. Seniors who are opting out do not get a refund, as this was indicated when purchasing the package, AND are still required to attend school that day.

Vaping and Graduation DO NOT go hand in hand-please READ

I recently just shared this information with your senior. Please see the below email sent to ALL IECHS students AND we will also have a senior meeting next week to reiterate the importance of good choices:



Just got word from NCISD student services: any senior that is expelled due to vaping and/or possessing any vape product on campus will result in expulsion AND not be able to walk the stage at graduation. This also includes LSC-KW.


I do NOT anticipate anyone making poor choices with 9 weeks left to go. Please make sure you are not bringing ANYTHING ON THIS CAMPUS that will cause us to do a search. It is my hope you are making good choices. PLEASE CONTINUE TO DO SO....let's graduate!!!!!!!!!

Senior DECISION DAY

Senior parents are encouraged to attend this event. On this day, seniors commit to their NEXT ENDEAVOR-whether its college, military, or certification program. Seniors also receive cords to be worn at graduation. This is a day to celebrate accomplishments and future plans.

Seniors Decorating their Graduation Cap

While I LOVE a good decoration on a grad cap, it is NOT acceptable for the IECHS graduation. Please note: IF your senior has a decorated cap on May 19th, NCISD graduation day, they will not be permitted to walk. They can chose to purchase another or chose to not walk. What they chose to do with their cap for LSC graduation is all up to them but it is my hope that they represent us in a respectful manner. Additionally, if decorating for LSC, remember, it needs to be removable for the next weekend graduation for NCISD. Make sense????

LSC-KW College Graduation-Class of 2023 NO TICKETS REQUIRED!!!!

Students are to arrive at MO Campbell by 8am. No tickets necessary for parents. Follow the link provided by LSC to access entrance time. Link is not updated yet for 2023 ceremony but will be the link you can access information. Students can wear their IECHS cap/gown to their LSC graduation. The graduation is streamed live. LSC will meet with our seniors in April to discuss details with them. It is the responsibility of the senior to listen and follow directions of LSC. This is not an IECHS event and we do not control any aspect of this event. We are just sharing information. Any questions, please ask.

Senior Breakfast, Gratitude, and GRADUATION PRACTICE

Seniors are celebrated within their class. We have senior breakfast [inlcuded in senior fees], we do some fun activities and then we do a graduation run through. SENIORS MUST BE PRESENT on this day for practice. AFTER activities are over-senior may leave for the day.
