SRYSA Teams Play in Superbowls
SRYSA had three teams compete recently in the Premier Lakes League Super Bowls. All our Raider teams and cheer squads represented Sunnyvale well, made us all proud, and won a couple championships.
Our Kindergarten team finished off an undefeated season by knocking off Greenville 24-19 to bring home a championship. This will be a fun group to watch over the years!
The 5th grade finished the regular season playing in the first two rounds of the playoffs undefeated but came up just a little short in the championship, losing 6-0 to Forney in a battle that could have gone either way and finished a great season in 2nd place. This group has had a lot of success over the years and we look forward to seeing more success from them next year.
6th grade took down the undefeated #1 seed Forney in a great game (13-7) to claim the championship. This team had an amazing season and we can't wait to follow their success as they move on to middle school football.
Congrats and thank you to all our SRYSA football teams, cheer squads, coaches, volunteers, parents, and supporters who helped make this season a success. We are already looking forward to next season and having more kids involved and growing the program even bigger than ever. Look for 2024 sign up details in the spring.
GO RAIDERS!!

Seventh Grader Gets to Be Superintendent for the Day
SISD had a new boss for the day on Wednesday.
Seventh grader Jeremiah (J.J.) Roberts held down the fort as the Superintendent for the day.
“My goal as the superintendent is to make people happy,” Jeremiah said.
Stepping into Superintendent Matt Kimball’s shoes as the district’s Top Raider was all part of fulfilling one of Sunnyvale PTA’s annual silent auction items from the Fall Fest during Homecoming.
The seventh grader enjoyed spending time on each campus touring classrooms, checking in on teachers and even gained insight on a couple of campus drills alongside our SROs.
