It's here!

Could it really be....spring? Complete with snow and sunshine in the same day? Sure is!

With spring we welcome more outside activities. Please remember that students should not ride bikes, scooters, wheeled shoes, etc. to or from school. We know that they are fun activities, but ask that/you partake after school hours.

Dogs should also not be on the school property during the school day. (Including before and after school.)

I'm sure after yet another school shooting, that safety is on your mind. We work in conjunction with the police department. They maintain a friendly presence at Willow each morning and also walk through the building on a daily basis.

The perimeter doors are always locked, as are classroom doors. At Sandy Hook, teachers had to go into the hallways to lock their doors. We know those few minutes are crucial, so we are set up to be able to close and secure them quickly.

As a parent, the most helpful thing you can do is remind your child to stop when asked, listen to the adult, and follow his/her/their directions the first time. Some of our Wildcats are still developing those skills, so your help at home is essential. You can also use your voice at the state/federal level to advocate for measures to help keep children safe.

Finally, we hope you have a relaxing break full of making memories with your Wildcat!

Fun opportunity!

Wear your red and white and come cheer on the H-F Girl's Soccer Team. One of our staff, Armando Lopez, coaches the JV team and put together a fun night for our Wildcats! During half time, they will take the field and have the opportunity to score a goal. Hope to see you there!

Family conversations from the committee for children

After the many challenges of this past year, the safety, protection, and well-being of children is paramount in the minds of adults with young people in their lives. During National Child Abuse Prevention Month, Committee for Children’s Hot Chocolate Talk® campaign is here to help families with free child protection resources. These resources can help start important conversations about personal safety and sexual abuse prevention.

H-F Summer sports camps

This summer H-F High School is offering sports camps for more than 15 types of athletics, and many are open at the youth level. These camps will provide student-athletes with a foundation of fundamental skills, knowledge, character, leadership and love for athletics. We hope you’ll join the tradition of H-F athletics this summer by training and learning from some of the best coaches in high school athletics in some of the best facilities in the country! Camps that are open to grade-school and junior-high students include: Badminton, Baseball, Cheerleading, Cross Country, Golf, Lacrosse, Tennis, Wrestling, Boys' Basketball, Boys' Volleyball, Girls' Basketball, Girls' Volleyball and Swimming & Water Polo.
