CMS Students of the Month for January
Cinnaminson Middle School is proud to announce its Students of the Month for January. The character trait for the month of January was DEDICATION. Congratulations to:
(Grade 6) Victoria Ramos
(Grade 7) Erin Evers
(Grade 8) Murillo Souza
For the month of February, CMS will focus on EMPATHY.
Empathy is the ability to share and understand someone else’s feelings. It means putting yourself in someone else’s shoes and trying to see from their perspective. We all have the ability to become more empathetic, compassionate individuals. Never underestimate the power of helping someone feel seen or understood.
Attention 8th Grade Parents
Course Selection at Cinnaminson High School
The following message was sent to all 8th grade families from Mr. Ryan Gorman, CHS Principal:
All eighth-grade parents and students will have the opportunity to complete the course selection process for the 2023-24 academic school year using the online Genesis Parent Portal. On Wednesday, February 15, the high school counseling team, along with Mrs. Luecke and Mrs. Colella, will be meeting with the eighth-grade students to discuss the scheduling process. They will also discuss course requirements, prerequisites, and elective choices. Beginning on February 13, parents can log into the Parent Portal to review academic course recommendations made by the current teachers. Additionally, parents and students will be able to select electives for next year.
For more information please utilize the following link to access the Course Selection Parent Letter: CHS Course Selection Letter (Translated versions: Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish)
The complete Course Selection Booklet is available here: CHS Course Selection Booklet.
In addition, Cinnaminson High School will host a Course Selection & Academic Advising Night on Thursday, February 16, at 6:30 PM in the CHS auditorium for any parents or students interested in obtaining more information regarding course selection. Department supervisors/lead teachers, school counselors, and administrators will be available to provide a brief program overview and answer questions, while members of the CHS chapter of the National Honor Society will be on hand to provide tours for incoming students.

End of Season Winter Sports Recap
Wrestling
Wrestling wrapped up their season with a 5-7 record. This was an improvement from the year prior, and we continue to build momentum going into next year with a majority of our wrestlers being in sixth grade. In addition to the improvement from last year in both record and turnout, we also were able to have 4 wrestlers entered into the league’s end of year tournament. These four wrestlers had a combined record of 40-6.
Girls Basketball
The girls A Basketball team ended their season with an impressive 11-1 record. Coach Welcher and the team consistently worked together and supported one another throughout a very competitive season. With a very strong 8th grade class, the girls have a lot to be proud of and have a very bright future ahead of them at CHS.
The Girls B Basketball team had an awesome season! The girls played with their heart in every game whether they were a beginner player or a more seasoned player. When they stepped onto the court, they were focused and excited to be a part of an amazing team that pulled together with the A team to make a solid unit. The team learned so much from the start of the season from every player. Coach Morris is very proud of all the success, strides, and unity that the girls displayed on and off the court.
Boys Basketball
The Boys A Basketball team finished the season with a 6-6 record. The team improved every single game and really came together as a team as some injuries mounted. The last few games, we relied on our bench and JV call-ups but still played some very close games. The student athletes have a lot to look forward to in their high school years and beyond in the game of basketball.
The Boys B Basketball team had a very successful season with nine wins and three losses. The team led by Mr. Carroll (Rush School Art teacher) began the season going back and forth between wins and losses and then went on to win their last six games. Most importantly, the boys learned to play together as a group and not to worry about their individual stats, which led to the ultimate goal of team success.
