October 31: Story Book Character Day- Students can dress up as their favorite book character. No masks please 👻🎃

November 10: No School (Veterans Day)

November 17: No School (Staff Work Day)

There are several students who have broken or lost their headphones. Please check with your child to see if they need to replace their headphones.

ELAR- We will analyze plot elements, including the rising action, climax, falling action, and resolution (4.8C)

Math- We will represent the same number, tenths and hundredths, with a fraction and decimal.

Use a number line to represent fractions and decimals (4.2G, 4.3G)

*CBA Tuesday

Science- We will examine properties of soil, including odor and texture, capacity to retain water, and ability to support growth of plants (4.7A)

*CBA Monday

Social Studies- We will summarize motivations for European exploration and settlement of Texas, including economic opportunity, competition and the desire for expansion (4.2A)

Our 4th grade field trip will be in May. We are starting to organize our trip to the Perot Museum. If you have a School Cash account set up, you should receive an email about the field trip. The field trip will cost $8 per student, payable in School Cash. We will send home more information in the Spring.

Parents are encouraged to check Skyward every week to see how their child is doing in school. You can set alerts for grades, absences, plus contact teachers, view any discipline infractions, and much more.
