Ohio's State Testing Information
The spring testing window at The Graham School will open on April 5; students at TGS will be taking Ohio’s State Tests (OSTs) throughout April and the first week of May. We will also have MAP assessments during the month of April. April 5-6 and 26-28 will all be early release days, with students being dismissed at 12:30pm. A letter was sent home with more information.
OSTs are part of all students’ requirements for graduation, and therefore the testing environment must be calm and productive for all students. We have a few important expectations listed below for all students in the building during testing:
Students who are testing will stay in the testing room for the duration of the allotted test time, except of course for bathroom breaks as needed. Students who finish early can read, draw, work on assignments, or even put their head down to rest, but they may not use phones or other devices, disrupt others, or move around the room without permission from the teacher.
Students are not allowed to have phones or other devices (including smart watches) with them during the tests. Students will be asked to turn off their phone and turn it in to the teacher at the beginning of the day. It will be returned when testing has concluded. Students who are on their phones while any testing is in progress will earn a significant consequence - this is disruptive and can lead to invalidation of test scores.
All students in the building must not disrupt testing in any way. They must:
Stay in assigned rooms except during approved breaks.
Refrain from texting or otherwise communicating with students who are testing.
Remember that students are expected to attend on their assigned days; during testing, absences without a valid excuse will count as unexcused absences.
It's time to complete your student's Annual Student Registration for 2023-24!
We look forward to having your student continue to be enrolled at The Graham School next year, however, your student's spot for next school year is NOT guaranteed until all Annual Student Registration forms have been completed and are received by the school.
Please use our online system to complete Registration forms: https://tgs.esvportal.com/
If this is completed before May 1, 2023, your student(s) will be permitted to keep their school devices over the summer, rather than return them before the school year ends.
If you already have an account in the online eSchool system, use the same login you used for the 2022-23 school year. If you did not create an account last year, you will need to create an account using the invite code. You should have recieved an e-mail and letter with your student's invite code. Please contact us via email at: frontdesk@thegrahamschool.org or call 614-262-1111 with any questions.
- As you set up your account you will be asked to create your own PIN.
- Once you enter the site, your student's information should be pre-populated into the forms. Double check that the pre-populated information is correct, fix any incorrect information, complete new information, check each section, and then submit.
- NOTE: BEFORE trying to update the information, choose Yes or No at the beginning of each section.
- Once you have completed all seven parts, select Save and Submit to District.
- Click here to review the How To for what you'll see when you enter the eSchool site. This answers many of the Frequently Asked Questions. Please contact us via email at: frontdesk@thegrahamschool.org or call 614-262-1111 with any questions.
