The Flemington-Raritan Regional Board of Education held a regular meeting on June 12, 2023. Below is a recap of the meeting:

On behalf of the Flemington-Raritan Regional School District and the entire community, the Board of Education commended and thanked this year's retiring staff members for their many years of service to our district. Through the years, these dedicated professionals have served countless students and families, supported fellow faculty members, collaborated with their colleagues and contributed to our district’s great success. Their experience, knowledge, skills and talents have helped to improve and enhance the education we provide our students. Over the years, they have taught, guided or cared for children with great pride, integrity and sincerity. Their hard work and devotion have helped our students grow, learn and achieve. It is because of their outstanding efforts that our district continues to provide all students with an excellent education and the foundation they need to succeed in the future. The Board thanked these individuals for all that they have given to our district, including their commitment to children, passion for education and a life-long love of learning. As each of them looks toward their new beginning, they are wished much joy, good health and all the very best in the years to come. Dr. Kari McGann, Superintendent of Schools, was selected as the 2023 Hunterdon County Superintendent of the Year by the Hunterdon County Association of School Administrators. During the meeting, HCASA Past President Dr. Rick Falkenstein (pictured below, left) presented Dr. McGann with a resolution honoring her for her service to the county and contributions to education. Dr. Falkenstein noted Dr. McGann's expertise in advancing academic programs, including establishing a STEM Ecosystem; her stalwart advocacy for supporting public education; her partnership with her colleagues; and her esteemed leadership and professionalism. Hunterdon County Executive Superintendent Juan Torres (pictured below, right) congratulated Dr. McGann for her distinguished achievement. Mr. Torres commended Dr. McGann for her many accomplishments, including the district's $42 million facilities bond referendum, leading the district through an historic pandemic, making meaningful connections with students and providing creative communication with families.
