Principal's Message
Davis Families,
Our first quarter is coming to an end on October 1st. As a reminder, because we are on a block schedule this year, the quarter grades will be recorded on transcripts. Students who fail for the quarter will need to repeat any class required to graduate. Please make sure you are looking through Schoology Gradebooks with your child, identifying missing assignments, and emailing teachers if you have questions about how to best support your child in a class.
If you have questions about any of the announcements below, please call the school at 216.838.2500

What Have Students Been Learning?
FREE Ohio Boaters Education Course - Family Input Needed
This fall we hope to offer the Ohio Boaters Education Course (OBEC) FREE OF COST to our parents/guardians. Through this class you would receive your Ohio Boaters License, which demonstrates proof that you have met the mandatory boat safety education requirements to operate a boat or jetski in the State of Ohio.
In order to best plan, we need some input from you. Please complete this quick survey to share your interest and availability.
Counselor's Corner
Hello Parents/Guardians,
Students in each grade have learned about their credits and block scheduling. Ask them to explain their understanding of this.
On Thursday, September 23rd from 8am-8:30am, we will host the Annual Fathers Walk. Fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, brothers, uncles, and father figures please join us by bringing your scholars to school this day. We will pass out information and have special treats for you.
If you would like to have a meeting with me about your child's progress towards graduation or any questions or concerns that you may have, please email me at rmccain@davisam.org.
Class of 2022 Updates
Please review your time slot and mark your calendars. Please plan on wearing a solid white shirt. Males are required to wear a SOLID COLOR WHITE shirt with a tie (it can be a short sleeve Polo style or a long sleeve shirt). Females are required to wear a SOLID WHITE shirt or blouse.
Senior Parent/Guardian Night was held via Zoom last week. If you were unable to join, please Click here to review the presentation slides.
Complete the Say Yes Cleveland Survey
Parents/Guardians should complete the survey each year. Go to https://cleveland.sytepps.org or scan the QR code pictured to the left. You will need your child's student ID number (found on their school schedule or an old CMSD report card).
