Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! You are receiving this newsletter because your child is enrolled in the upcoming school year. We are excited and honored to have your child learning with us at Winship. I am excited for your child to work with all of the caring professionals that call this place home! An extra special welcome to all of our students that are new to Winship.

Classroom assignment letters will be sent via email during the week of August 14th. Winship's Open House is on August 29th. Please join us from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm to meet your teacher and visit your child's classroom. As always, please use Door #1.

Please take time to complete a Free/Reduced Meal Application. Families that do not fill out the application or do not qualify for free or reduced-price meals will be charged for meals again in 2023-2024. The importance of this application cannot be overlooked; it is more than just a meal application. It:

• Results in free or discounted fees to participate in or attend school activities.

• Provides additional funding for state and federal programs and services at our school.

The ENCORE registration closed on August 7th. Information about enrollment will be sent to families within the next two weeks. This will come from the Encore Program Site; Winship does not have the list. Please make sure to watch your emails.

Please go to MySchoolBucks and review if you want to have Device Protection for your student(s) devices. The charge for this is based off your Free and Reduced Price Meals Information. The last day to purchase this is October 15, 2023.
